A 1920s cocktail party was the perfect selection for a client appreciate event, held at the Park Hyatt. Creating a sophisticated client appreciation event is never easy, but the 1920 cocktail theme worked perfectly in to the Park Hyatt’s art deco design and atmosphere.
1920s Cocktail Party – Objectives
With Hyatt hotel general managers from the greater Asian region flying into Melbourne for AIME 2015, ( Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo) this was the perfect opportunity to fly The Hyatt flag. The Key objectives of the event were to strengthen and deepen existing relationships, foster new corporate client relationships, and showcase the full portfolio of Hyatt hotel brands.
1920s Cocktail Party – Event management
Instinct was engages to event manage this 1920s Cocktail event and source provide suitable entertianment. Working in partnership with the Park Hyatt Melbourne sales team and in-house event technology supplier Staging Connections, the Instinct team conceived a lavish cocktail event that would perfectly showcase the hotel and provide a setting for all Hyatt brands to flourish.
1920s Cocktail Party – “putting on the Glitz”
This 1920 cocktail party was titled “putting on the Glitz”, wit he concept inspired form of course, the roaring nineteen twenties, set deco. Given the popularity of the theme, a little “Gatsby” was thrown in for good measure.
1920s Cocktail Party – “Set the scene”
The foyer featured a 1920s rolls royce (NICE!) which created the perfect backdrop for people to take selfies. This was set in front of an art deco styled media wall.
I huge 6:1 ratio floor to ceiling panorama projection screen filled one side of the room and displayed a stunning Hyatt branding and multi-media display, creating the perfect backdrop for performances by entertainers.
The room also displayed several cocktail bars, (of course making 1920s style cocktails), showcasing the Park Hyatt;s culinary & mixology skills.

MC David Malek hosted the night, with the highly performance by the stunning Sydney group, The Diamonds, literally adding the Glitz and Glamour to the event
