Milestone event

One of the great joys of working in the event and entertainment business is sourcing the exact right talent for a client or event. It is not always easy. Often mixed demographics within the audience, budget restrictions and limited availability thwart the best laid plans of event planners and clients alike.

When a successful Melbourne based IT company turned 10 years old, they turned to Instinct to source, book and manage their entertainment for the celebration for this milestone event.

Right for the get go the client was keen on bringing in USA based internet sensation Rebecca Black, known for her song FRIDAY. The song had featured on Friday within the companies team culture and had “become a thing” of joy within the team.

Sourcing international artist- yes we do!!

Released in 2011 the song has now garnered more the 138 million views on you tube.

With our extended network and reach Instinct was able to get in touch and convince Rebecca to come and perform. Instinct help work with her management and the client to coordinate all flights, accommodation and appropriate work visas.

Delightful to deal with, Rebecca performed a well received acoustic set with her American Idol Partner. s Rebecca has matured as an artist the rendition performed was considerable cooler, more laid back- perfect for the nature of the event

Master of ceremonies or master of milestone events!

The MC/Host role is always critical, for any event, a few are more in demand and as well received as Tim Campbell. Always the consulate professional, Tim not only MC’d but also performed a song with Australia’s leading cover band, CHUNKY JAM ™ as a “big opening number” ideal way to kick off a milestone event

The band has a 100% strike rate

Chunky Jam of course ensured the night was a hit and the dance floor as full as the guests tummies as the catering continued to impress. with more than 2000 gigs under their belt, Chunky Jam are now clearly at the top of the corporate cover band list, with numerous client now booking ahead 2-3 years at a time.

Uncle Chop Chop

You’d think given the jam packed nature of this event that would do, however having a laugh, was high on the two company directors wish lists. Enter Heath Franklin as Chopper Read. He has truely channel Chopper and provided none stop laughter for guests, A highlight was a young guest heckling “Chopper”.. a brave man indeed!!
