Soul Cupcake is the finest funk/soul band in Melbourne.

With a vocalist, 4-piece rhythm section and 3-piece horn section Soul Cupcake features cutting-edge groove-driven originals and warped re-arrangements of popular songs by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Michael Bublé, Billie Holiday, Judy Garland and Michael Jackson.

This truly original ensemble channels the zeitgeist of bands such as The Bamboos, Tower Of Power, Sharon Jones And The Dap Kings, Snarky Puppy and D.I.G. and spits it all out the other end in a whirlwind of horn-driven electricity.

Soul Cupcake have a generous following and have played to packed houses at The Spotted Mallard, Dizzy’s Jazz Club, The Wesley Anne and The Cherry Bar.
