Biography

TOPICS: MC, ENTERTAINMENT, CELEBRITY

Brodie Young sprang onto the entertainment scene after his bold and quickly accepted intrusion on Network 10’s Big Brother 2 in 2002, and immediately developed a rapport within the public eye, in particular with a microphone in hand juggling interstate club appearances ranging from the beaches of Perth to the Western suburbs of Sydney, and regular resident MC/Hosting roles everywhere in-between. He kept his feet on the ground, completing a University Degree in Design whilst generously donating his time to such charity organisations as the Anti-Cancer Council, Camp Quality, TLC and the K.I.D.S. Foundation.

His involvement with the K.I.D.S. Foundation grew in 2003 when they secured him as host of their Schools Television Satellite Show, WorkSafe K.I.D.S. SafetyZone, educating children Victoria wide about safety. He also MC’ed their annual auction and went on the road as MC of the K.I.D.S. Road to Ironman, and attends the National Burns Survivors camp annually. It was this experience, coupled with his well-publicised charisma, that gave Brodie the confidence and drive to secure several more hosting and TV Presenter roles for various network pilot shows, including the recently aired lifestyle show, That’s Melbourne, children’s quiz show It’s Academic, game show Win The Break and in the sporting realm as host of a proposed all-codes footy show, Footy Freaks.

Brodie is currently the zany host of Quizmania, a vibrant live to air late night interactive game show, airing nationally, midnight till late, on Channel 9. His ability to take on roles with enthusiasm and confidence saw him play the role of Tarq, a music show host on Network Ten’s Wicked Science airing nationally, 2004. His on camera presence and quick light hearted wit has provided an easy choice for clients looking to vibe up a promotion, or appeal to the impressionable 15-35 demographic.
