Biography
Redfoo is an American singer, dancer, DJ and rapper best known as part of the musical duo LMFAO. He formed the duo with his nephew, SkyBlu in 2006 and they released two studio albums before going on hiatus in 2012. He is the son of the founder of the Motown Record Company Berry Gordy, Jr.
He formed the electropop band LMFAO with his nephew SkyBlu. LMFAO released Party Rock EP they were also featured in David Guetta’s song “Gettin’ Over You,” which was an international hit, peaking in the top ten in eleven countries and at No. 1 in three of them, including in the United Kingdom
The duo then recorded their second album, Sorry for Party Rocking, The third single, “Sexy and I Know It,” was released and reached No. 1 on the iTunes charts worldwide and No. 1 on the Australian and Canadian Hot 100.
Redfoo released his first solo single “Bring Out the Bottles” after LMFAO announced their hiatus in September 2012, the song has charted in Belgium and the Netherlands. In April 2013, Redfoo was announced as the fourth judge/mentor and Guy Sebastian’s replacement on the Australian version of “The X Factor.”
Redfoo is a former day trader and has been featured on business television CNBC’s Mad Money with Jim Cramer.
