Biography

English/Jamaican Paul J. has been a part of the Melbourne music scene for some years and has performed at numerous functions, major events and festivals across Australia.

These include the Crown Casino, Lassiters Casino, The Spirit of Tasmania (boat), The St.Kilda Festival, Menzies Rialto, Brighton International and the Maroondah Festival.

Paul’s music is a mix of rootsy grooves, blues, jazz, latin and pop.

Friendly, outgoing and professional in all aspects Paul has been popular for all manner of festive occasions and residencies.
Paul V. is a highly respected Melbourne saxophonist and flute player who is experienced in a wide variety of music and also contributes with backing vocals and hand percussion instruments.

Paul is equally at home whether playing jazz, soul, pop, rock, latin or reggae and his smooth and dynamic style is always sensitive to the surroundings and type of occasion.

Paul has appeared at many well-known Festival s – Wangaratta Jazz Festival, Stonnington Jazz Festival, The Appollo Bay Festival , Wellington Jazz Festival (New Zealand) and more.

Together as a duo and as part of a bigger band they have enjoyed quite reasonable demand for their performances ranging from ambient background to more upbeat dance music covering classic through to recent hits in a variety of genres (jazz, soul, pop, reggae, latin, ballads).
