Biography
Michael is a professional multistyle Classical and Jazz guitarist. He performs in recitals, at festivals, for corporate functions, and for ceremonies. His repertoire is expansive, including standard works from Classical guitar literature, Jazz and Latin standards, as well as Flamenco and Popular pieces.
Michael has performed at 5-star resorts in Port Douglas, Cairns, and the Sunshine and Gold Coasts. His recitals have seen him perform at festivals and art galleries and at the opening ceremony for maiden Australian National Interfaith Festival.
For corporate events, Michael provides an elegant and sophisticated background for pre-dinner drinks. He also presents a 20-30 minutes recital for corporate dinners between courses. This can include a Vivaldi concerto with recorded orchestra.
Michael’s repertoire includes: many well-known Classical pieces by Tarrega, Sor, Villa Lobos, and Bach; hundreds of Jazz and Bossa Nova standards; and popular songs by the Beatles and the Carpenters and favourite cinematic themes. Special songs for events can be provided upon negotiation.
Michael is the recipient of two national awards for performance and composition and has released 8 professional recordings to date.
