Little Girl Blue

Little Girl Blue is a Melbourne based band providing a unique mix of jazz, soul and blues.

The brainchild of trumpeter/vocalist James Ryan, in collaboration with lead singer Ali MacDonald, their vision was to form a group of like-minded artists to create a musical experience above and beyond what is typically available within the genre. To this end only the best songs and arrangements are presented.

The band is available in a variety of combinations, from 3 to seven piece to suit most events or budgets.

LGB is comprised of Melbourne based working musicians who have performed in many other bands across the country and overseas. Engagements include performances for V.I.P’s, politicians and celebrities plus a plethora of corporate clients including Harcourts, NAB, Amway Int., Pacific Dunlop, Toyota, Heinz, BRW, LG, The Australian Music Association, the Australian Veterinary Association, the Australian Tax Office etc.

They have performed at venues like Crown Palladium, Federation Square, Hyatt on Collins, Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Zoo, Melbourne Town Hall, Melbourne Museum, the Immigration Museum, Melbourne Aquarium, Byron at Byron, Longitude 31 Uluru, Star Casino Darwin as well as smaller venues like the Espy St Kilda, The Corner Hotel, Sooki lounge, Oscars Alehouse Belgrave, The Cornish Arms Brunswick, Transport Bar Federation Square etc.

Their song list is inspired by legendary artists such as Miles Davis, Diana Krall, Eva Cassidy, Burt Bacharach, Toto, Rose Royce, George Gershwin, James Taylor, Dudley Moore, Donald Fagan, Curtis Mayfield, Chet Baker etc.
