Biography

Firstly, this Bio is Short, Sharp & Straight to the point, just like Gav!

Gav Bell is a Solo Singer/Guitarist who performs all over Australia, and has a raw live sound, similar to that ever so popular “Unplugged” sound. Gav prefers to play strictly live, with no music stands or backing tracks and has quite a unique set up that blends perfectly with his Big Vocals, and Warm Varied Guitar Sounds. With his right foot he plays a Kick Drum sounding pedal and with his left foot he plays a Tamborine (which adds a drumming sound). He also uses a Boss “Loop Pedal”, which helps him create a live rhythm Guitar track so he can excel with his Lead Guitar parts when needed. (Real old school 1 man band style.)

No song lists in sight either, with a repertoire of at least 1000+ cover songs from the 60’s to some of today’s classics; he plays requests all night which gives him an edge like no other! Gav has been performing professionally at Functions, Weddings, Corporate Events & Pubs/Clubs for the last 24 years.

Having played on several outings with Artists, Col Elliott, Renee Geyer, Glenn Shorrock, Thelma Housten & Doug Parkinson to name a few and supporting acts such as The Temptations, Jimmy Barnes, Diesel, Mental as Anything, Daryl Braithwaite, Joe Camilleri, Ross Wilson, James Reyne, Billy Thorpe, Ian Moss, Evermore, Mark Seymour, Killing Heidi, Spider bait, Brian Cadd, Jon Stevens, The Choirboys, Dave Gleeson, Gangajang, Taxi ride, Kevin Borich, The Radiators & The Screaming Jets, throw in some Jamming with Phil Emmanuel and even a Shannon Noll End of Tour Party, These experiences with such successful musicians has made him the performer he is today!
