Biography

Emma has a refreshing sound, inviting you on a journey of re-discovery as she brings back to life some of the vintage classics of the Jazz era worldwide, playing homage to the jazz legends, whisking you off to Europe with Gypsy Jazz overtones, blending through the ages with some South American flavour and sharing some easy listening favourites with an injection of modern world.

Can perform as a 4 piece band with a world jazz flavour, however, this band can expand to any size including strings and brass. She has a dynamic and versatile voice which is complimented by a diverse repetoire and great cross-genre crowd appeal, and she brings energy and enthusiasm through a powerful and engaging vocal performance with a presence and professionalism to suit any event.

Emma has trained vocally for over 7 years, and completed several jazz courses at The Conservatorium, Sydney. She has performed in Sydney for the last 5 years with some of the city’s best musicians, from wedding ceremonies, receptions, private functions and corporate events.

Emma and her band can perform as a guitar or piano Duo/Trio/4 piece, depending on requirements, and can include strings or brass. They can take control and rock centre stage or they can set the ambience and blend into the background.

Emma’s repertoire includes select tunes from Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Edith Piaf, Miles Davis and blending through the era’s with Eva Cassidy, Tom Jobim, Aretha Franklin and The Gypsy Kings, and back to the Modern with Norah Jones, Adele, & John Mayer. Her band set themselves apart by being so consistently reliable in their performances, in being so professional; knowing exactly what each venue and event requires.
