Biography

Cooper sax’s love affair with the saxophone began at an early age. He began his performing career at the young age of 16, with a small jazz band around Melbourne, at 18 went on to study a Bachelor of Music Performance at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts.

Cooper sax has been working in the music industry for 10 years, and in that time has toured and recorded extensively, in Australia, Europe and the UK, playing at some of the world’s largest music festivals, with acts including Sampa the Great, the Teskey Brothers, Thando Sikwila, Kutcha Edwards, The Seven Ups, Maya Weiss (The Voice Season 2).

cooper sax also works in more corporate and commercial contexts, both as a Saxophonist and as a Musician Director, curating tailored Musical experiences, including Brass Bands, Award Ceremony Bands and Jazz Combos for Large Clients and Weddings, both independently and while working with some of Australia’s top entertainment Agencies.

Hand in hand with various Agencies and independently,cooper sax has worked with clients such as:
Uber, Google, Telstra, KIIS101.1, Collingwood FC, Energy Australia, RedEnergy, AFL September Club, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, WorkClub Melbourne, Collins Square among others.

Studied a Bachelor of Music Performance at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts with over 8 years industry experience. A full-time musician, having toured internationally across Europe, UK and Australia, and worked privately with large clients including Uber, Telstra and Collins Square.

Cooper Sax began playing the saxophone as a teenager and his passion for music has grown exponentially. In 2011 he was accepted into the prestigious Victorian college of the Arts, and now works as a full time musician, having toured across Europe, UK and Australia, recorded on over 15 studio albums and worked with some of Australias largest clients including Uber, Telstra and Melbourne International Jazz Festival to name a few.
