Candice Dixion
Candice Dixon is not only a national television host but she is also a journalist, actor and model. After completing studies in drama and journalism, Candice joined the Seven Network to become a full-time host and segment producer for the national children’s television show Saturday Disney. This role has taken her across the globe to Rio de Janeiro, New York, Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Candice has attended a variety of international media junkets and red carpet events where she has interviewed many celebrities including Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Farrell, Cody Simpson, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller and Rebel Wilson.
2016 will include an additional role for Candice when she debuts as a game show host on the Seven Network’s children’s series Flushed. Along with these two national programs, Candice has also enjoyed guest hosting on Sydney Weekender and The Daily Edition. She has also reported live at many special events for the Seven Network including The Morning Show.
As an actor, Candice has featured in both national and international television programs and movies including H20: Just Add Water, The Sleepover Club, and Aquamarine. She has been cast in a range of TV commercials and has been the official MC at various commercial and corporate events.
Her radio experience has included being featured on 2DayFM’s The Scoopla Show as well as regular crosses for the Gold Coast’s 90.9 Sea FM and 92.5 Gold FM. She is also delighted to be a Planet Ark ambassador and a blogger for Total Girl.
Candice completed a Bachelor of Communication at Bond University where she majored in journalism. She was also selected to be part of the Vice Chancellor’s List of Academic Excellence and achieved many First in Class Awards. During her studies, she secured internships and part-time roles at television newsrooms and radio stations. She also taught speech and drama at a local primary school after receiving a Certificate of Communication through the Australian Speech Communication Association.
Born and raised on the Gold Coast, Candice enjoys beach volleyball and yoga with her amazing family. She is currently Sydney based.
