Biography
Inspired at an early age by her Grandfather, who was a piper; Cath developed her own fascination and respect for the traditional instrument. Encouraged by her Grandfather to learn the intriguing discipline, Cath’s own career as a Piper began when she joined the Box Hill Pipe Band in 1980, becoming an Officer for ten years.
Awarded “Best Piper” –Box Hill Pipe Band
Cath has piped at many events and venues throughout Victoria, and had an ongoing residency at Dante’s Café and Bar in Fitzroy and Uncle Jock in the aisles of Franklins. Major events include: the Australia Day Concert –Federation Square, Melbourne Cup, Royal Melbourne Show, Moomba parade, National Highland Gatherings, Anzac Marches, and at Weddings, private functions, bar mitzvahs and corporate events.
Cath continues to carry on her ancestors’ tradition and has created two unique styles: The Traditional Piper, The Magical piper , Uncle Jock.
