Animata
The Animata String Quartet plays a range of musical styles, mixing things up with a bit of popular classical, some Tangos, some old Hollywood (e.g. Moon River) and other popular arrangements. We can tailor our repertoire to the occasion (e.g. Jazz focused, or South American). Members of the Quartet all have music performance degrees from the Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne University.

Biography
The Animata String Quartet plays a range of musical styles, mixing things up with a bit of popular classical, some Tangos, some ‘Old Gold’ Hollywood (e.g. ‘Moon River’) and other popular arrangements. We can tailor our repertoire to the occasion (e.g. Jazz focused, or South American).
Members of the Quartet all have music performance degrees from the Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne University.
Individually, members of the Quartet have performed on: Rove, Spicks and Specks, at the AFL Grand Final (with Tommy Emmanuel and James Morrisen), for Musica Viva Concert Series, for major productions of ‘Phantom of the Opera’, as part of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria.
The Animata Quartet performs regularly around Melbourne, at function centres, reception centres, gallery openings, and other events.
