Rita’s Jazz &  cover band featuring the dynamic and versatile singer and violinist Rita. Rita brings an electrifying presence whenever she performs.

Fresh from her UK/European tour as well as a performance at Glastonbury Festival (UK), Rita Satch has become one of the most sought out vocalists in Australia.

With over 10 years experience in performing at corporate events, weddings, barmitzvahs and other private functions, Rita has a wide and diverse repertoire which includes jazz standards, Motown, pop, bossa nova and funk re-interpretations of classic songs. Rita works with some of Australia’s most acclaimed musicians and has the versatility to perform as a duo, trio, 4-piece or more.

Rita Satch is quickly building a reputation as an unforgettable presence in Melbourne’s neo-soul scene, inspired equally by the pop melodies and rich harmonies of Motown as by the dark soulful beats and modern grooves of UKs underground.

With the self titled second EP, released Rita has blossomed into a songwriter in her own right, penning songs of heartbreak, pleasure and pain that wash over you, with catchy choruses and lyrics that linger in your subconscious and will have you humming the tunes after one listen.

A jazz and soul prodigy from a young age, Rita grew up loving and singing the music of Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles and Nina Simone. Rita’s inimitable and powerful voice soon garnered her the attention of some of Australia’s most acclaimed musicians, singing with Australian jazz greats such as Allan Zavod and Mark Fitzgibbon, who would go on to call Rita “the best singer songwriter to hit the scene in a long time.”

With the release of her debut EP, Rita thrived as the new jazz singer and chanteuse, cutting her teeth in the Melbourne scene supporting the likes of Australian legends Renee Geyer, Kate Ceberano and Christine Anu, amongst others.

Rita’s voice, evokes the wounded trip-hop of Portishead with a touch of Amy Winehouse with a sultriness in every syllable of her vocals.
