Wilbur Wilde & Frank J Holden – Take two legends of Australian Rock and Roll who also just happen to be legends of television shows like IN MELBOURNE TONIGHT and HEY HEY IT’S SATURDAY, put them on stage with a hot band, and you have the recipe for superb, crowd pleasing entertainment.

Doing what they do best, Frankie and Wilbur will have you dancing and singing along to the hit songs of OL’55, the multi-platinum band that launched them onto Australian show business and into the hearts of Australian audiences and a whole lot more knocked out 1950’s nifties.

Songs like LOOKING FOR AN ECHO, DIANA, EAGLE ROCK, THE WANDERER, GET A JOB, THIS LITTLE GIRL, TWISTIN’ THE NIGHT AWAY and much more great Rock and Roll, presented in an energetic and hugely entertaining stage show that can best be described as “controlled mayhem”.

Frankie and Wilbur have enjoyed careers that have traversed the entire spectrum of show business- film, television, stage, theatre and radio, but where it all began was live on stage playing great rock and roll.

40 years down the road, they’re getting good at this stuff!

A Bit about Franky and Wilbur

Franky J Holden is one of Australia’s most dynamic, lead singing front men. Beginning his impressive career with legendary rock band Ol’55, Frank’s success story continued into feature films “High Tide”, “The Odd Angry Shot” and “Return Home” amongst them. He created the lead characters in many popular Television series with “Embassy”, “Police Rescue” and “Round the Twist” entertaining Australians of all ages. Frank also hosted his own tonight show on the nine network “In Melbourne Tonight”.

Such an impressive body of work has all been grist to the explosive mill that is Franky J Holden.

Combine this great talent with long time friend and showbiz collaborator Wilbur Wilde and you have some serious, rocking fun. Classic hits abound when these two take the stage and with the good humoured banter between them and the audience it’s always a memorable night out.

Wilbur also worked alongside Australian Rock Legend Joe Camilleri in the incredible “Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons” and with the irresistible sound of two saxophones pumping out a mighty soul groove on Aussie hits like “Shape I’m in” and “Hit and Run” you can’t help getting off the deck.

Joe of course had much success at home and abroad with his band “The Black Sorrows” and when the crowd sings along to “Brown Eyed Girl”, “Chained to the Wheel” and “Harley and Rose” it creates a very special evening to remember
