Biography

“SINGING SOMMELIERS

Two professional ‘wine guides’ introduce themselves to the guests as “”Sommeliers””. The banter between the two “”professionals”” however, is far more engaging than the subject at hand.

One Sommelier is serious about wine. Her male colleague however, clearly has little clue…

As his comedic presentation builds, he turns his attention to a woman in the audience, comparing her to a “silky smooth Chardonnay. She is more than a woman…she is an opera!” he exclaims, suddenly bursting into song. He sings a famous italian aria, but the english translation he relays is a story of how all woman are like wine.

The female Sommelier then strips off her apron – revealing a glamorous gown underneath. She sings Carmen’s Habanera replacing the original french lyrics with a humorous English translation – all about men! Low and behold, she bumps into an “”ex-lover”” (a guest) – and the fun continues!

A visit from Pavarotti in a blow up suit (with of course a rendition of the infamous ‘Nessun Dorma’) – makes for a multi layered act full of comedy, surprises and inspiring song!

Popular Opera favourites sung by professional Opera Singers – with a comedic twist! Designed to inspire, tease and delight guests. The wine now tastes better than ever and the singing is bigger than Ben Hurr!
