Biography

ARIA nominated ‘Best Children’s Act’ and Sony Music-signed family favourite Lah-Lah’s Big Live Band announce their new national live tour The Stripy Sock Club Live Show, ahead of their highly anticipated brand new TV show.

Partly funded by and made for Australian families who crave quality children’s content on their screens, the new TV show is currently in production, with the two-time ARIA-nominated Lah-Lah’s Big Live Band, all professional musicians in their own right, pulling up their stripy socks and hitting the road to meet and play for their thousands of fans across the country.

“We’re all so excited about this year’s tour,” says Tina Harris, lead singer and co-creator of Lah-Lah.

“The Stripy Sock Club Live Show has been created around the new TV series and features new songs and dances, which Aussie kids will be able to see on TV later this year.”

Last year, Lah-Lah successfully raised over $100,000 in a crowdfunding campaign to go towards the Stripy Sock Club TV series.

“The support we received from families around the country has been incredible,” says Harris, herself a mum of two.

“For the first time ever, parents have joined us to have a voice about the kind of show they want us to make for their children.

“It’s so important we make Australian content for Australian kids, an important topic also raised at the Screen Producers Australia Conference,” says Harris, a passionate advocate for quality children’s music education along with her husband Mark Harris, a professional musician who plays Buzz the Bandleader in the show.

“The Stripy Sock Club Live Show is a mixture between the old Mickey Mouse Club and The Monkees,” says Mark.

“It’s a live show tour with real musicians that absolutely everyone can enjoy and be a part of, with no backing tracks or big stadiums.
“We really believe it’s important for children to have an up-close experience at our live shows, with room for families to dance plus a storyline that’s guaranteed to engage all.

“After every show, all the musicians come out into the audience so the children can touch and play the instruments. This is the magic of Lah-Lah.”
