Biography

The NJO Jazz Orchestra is Melbourne’s newest and most exciting big band. With 17 musicians and two sensational vocalists, we can bring the classic big band sound to any event, with a huge 36 song repertoire comprising classic big band jazz, some huge funky dance tracks, and our own songs for those who’d like to hear brand new, original, big band music composed right here in Australia.

Our most recent performance was on the main stage at Moomba 2019 on Saturday 9 March, bringing in the fireworks! As our testimonial shows, we were a festival highlight! We’ve included a video of this performance here so you can watch us in full flight.
