Biography
Nathan Flamenco is widely recognized as one of the finest exponents of the Spanish Classical guitar in the Australian music scene.
In 2004, Nathan took 1st prize in the Australian International Guitar Competition from a field of over thirty national and international performers.
He was a prize winner in subsequent competitions in Tokyo and Singapore as well as being a finalist in the prestigious Rodrigo Guitar Competition in Madrid, Spain.
Since then has been featured in several national television and radio appearances as well as featuring in guitar magazines and other publications.
In 2005 Nathan, made his professional concerto debut with the Queensland Symphony orchestra performing Rodrigo’s famous Spanish work ‘Concierto de Aranjuez’, and was later a guest performer with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in Mahler’s 7th symphony.
In that same year Nathan was given the honour of supporting international superstar Sting as a solo guitarist at the annual Leeuwin Estate Concert. He has since performed in many guitar and music festivals across the country and overseas.
Nathan Flamenco is equally at home performing an eclectic range of music from Spanish Flamenco and Latin music to Classical Guitar and Jazz.
