Biography

In recent years, the WAAPA graduate had a chart topping iTunes single and was a grand finalist in the nationwide 2018 Toyota Star Maker Competition. In addition, Emily won the 2017 WA CMA Award for ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’, performs annually at the Tamworth Music Festival and graces stages regularly in Nashville, Tennessee such as the iconic ‘Bluebird Café’.

Emily grew up with a multitude of influences and has a catalogue that caters to all. It is this foundation that allows her to seamlessly cross over a range of genres and build an extensive set list. Her wide range of repertoire combined with her ability to confidently read the room, allows her to tailor her set to suit each audience and ensures there is ‘something for everyone’. From pop to rock, country to blues, classics to contemporaries, and everything in-between, there’s no style or era she doesn’t touch upon.

Playing all your favourite songs of today and yesterday, Emily J’s acoustic set alongside established guitarist Luke Gallagher features breathtaking harmonies, rock solid arrangements and undeniable chemistry that is guaranteed to turn heads. Luke’s deep vocals see’s him take on a number of male lead songs with Emily, such as Johnny Cash and the Eagles that never fails to turn people’s heads and get them clapping along.

Emily is available in a duo, trio or full band format, offering the option of performing a relaxed intimate acoustic set as a prelude to her electric and upbeat show. She listens and works closely with clients to ensure she meets their needs to the highest standard. Having played an abundance of stages from festivals and stadiums to smaller intimate spaces, Emily is ideal for events, parties, weddings as well as local bars and taverns.
