Cameron is musician who draws inspiration from the driving rhythms and melodic honesty of the acoustic gypsy jazz guitar. He performs regularly with prominent Sydney bands; The Spyglass Gypsies and Gadjo Guitars and vocalist and bassist, Paul Sun. Jones is also the Creative Director of the Brisbane based OzManouche Festival. Australia’s only festival dedicated to gypsy jazz.

The Waterfall Way is Cameron’s first album under his own name and draws repertoire and inspiration from his travels to France and The Netherlands over a period of 5 years where he was able to discover the very source and origins of the music.

It was several years ago when I first saw and heard Cameron play

guitar with the superb Gypsy Swing group ‘Spyglass Gypsies”, and remember being most impressed with his understanding and execution of the Gypsy Swing style. Since then I’ve not only had the pleasure of watching him grow in stature both as a player and composer, but also of jamming with him at the OzManouche Festival.”

My wife and I hired Cameron 5 piece band to play at our wedding after hearing a demo of them playing at one of their Sydney gigs! When they turned up at the wedding we knew straight away we had made a brilliant choice, Cameron and the guys were so professional in their conduct, dress and also very importantly their respect of the ceremony going on at the time. They set up quickly and quietly, with plenty of time before they needed to start so they were 100% ready when we had planned for them to start playing. The music was just amazing, it was like having Django Reinhardt’s band playing for us, they progressed through tempo throughout the night seamlessly and worked their music in so well with the mood of our guests. By the end of the night the energy coming from the band was just amazing and everyone who attended the wedding just raved about how much they loved them! I would highly recommend these guys to anyone with a taste for Jazz or just an appreciation for incredible musicians! They set the most amazing mood and feeling at our wedding and I just cant offer enough thanks to the guys for putting on such a great show

We had the pleasure of having Cameron’s guitar duo play wonderful swing jazz on acoustic guitars at our party on Saturday and it provided the perfect ambiance, with just the right amount of rhythm to lift the mood, without overwhelming our apartment. The guys where brilliant, arrived early and played the whole night. I Highly recommend them.
