Heralded as the most dynamic force in Australia's flamenco music scene, Arte Kanela is steered by the gifted Tedesco brothers - choreographer/ dancer Johnny, with Richard on guitar - who now work with some of the world's leading flamenco companies. At WOMADelaide they will perform with guest artists from Seville's acclaimed Puerto Flamenco.

Formed in 1990, Arte Kanela is widely acclaimed as the most exciting and dynamic force in the Australian Flamenco music scene and was created by Musical Director, Guitarist and Composer, Richard Tedesco and his brother Johnny, Choreographer, Dancer and Percussionist. Richard Tedesco seems to leap to another level every time he perform THE AGE.
The outstanding ability of dancer Johnny Tedesco never fails to enthrall audiences. Johnny Tedesco stole the show with his proud and playfully virtuosic solo’s The Age.
Arte Kanela has collaborated with artists from Australia: Kate Cebrano and The Cat Empire, and from Spain; Flamenco Dancers, Andres Pena, Javier Marin, Luis De Luis, Mariano Cruceta, Flamenco Guitarists; Felipe Maya, Jose Luis Monton, and Flamenco Singer; Jesus El Amendro, David Moran, Gamba de Jerez.
