6 Tips for planning a 30th birthday
Turning 30! Need a hand with ideas or entertainment? Time to reflect! Where we have been and where we are going? Life seems to speed up as you approach 30, from clubbing to marriage, mortgage and children.
The best way to shake of the responsibilities of 30 is to throw one hell of a party!
6 tips to throwing a 30th Birthday Bash Bonanza
…and how shake away that “Im getting old” feeling!
1. Pick a theme for your 30th birthday
If you don’t have a specific theme, give it a go! Need a hand with ideas? Why not visit our Event Theme section to get more food for thought?
2. Plan the date for your 30th birthday
This should be around the real birthday, but not absolutely necessary. Try Friday night or weekend as generally there may be some adult consumption making the next day tough!
3. Book your venue for your 30th birthday
Make it central and easy to get to for all guests. If it is your home, be prepared for chaos! The up side is you don’t have to drive, but someone has to clean up, so we recommend getting out and about! Think about a boat cruise for the day or something fun.
4. Invitation list for your 30th birthday
Who is important to you now? Friends from childhood may have made way to some more recent acquisitions? Why not invite the lot and make this party LOUD!
Make sure you get RSVP’s for confirmed attendees at least 7 days prior to the party. Add a section for food allergies on RSVP so you know what you are dealing with!
5. Feed ‘em
Be mindful of food allergies, make it easy, finger food is best, balance between healthy and fun (chips are fun, just a fact of life!) BBQs are a way of life in Australia, why ignore the ease they bring? Otherwise, get a caterer- save on another night, not on your 30th birthday!
6 . Entertain them at your 30th Birthday
You have to get them to move, MUSIC is critical, so a dj or live cover band is great.
Dance the night away, and remember to take photos! What about a fortune teller or tarot reader.. Do you know what lies ahead in your life?
Life at 30 should be Magical, so why not add some magic to your party? The main thing is, to fill your night with good food, good company and load of laughter. Enjoy! 40 is an entire decade away!!
