Barefeet Gypsies | Gypsy Pop | Funky Ska | Regage Roots | Samba Carnival

Feet bare and faces painted, Barefeet Sojourns (BFS) is an eclectic mix of musicians hailing from as many countries as there are band members. Ghana, Japan, Bali, Rodrigues, Poland and Italy, it’s no wonder that BFS’ sound is one big melting pot. The dynamic six- piece tackles a range of instruments to offer a power fusion of gypsy-ska, afro-reggae, funk-pop, with a hint of samba & carnival.

BFS formed in May 2015 and whirlwind-like quickly received attention from the local live music scene. Selling out all their headliner shows and teaming up with Eastern States bands, the young band convinces with their vibrant, innovative and dance-alluring tunes. In May 2016 the band has launched their anticipated
Debut EP ‘DETOUR’.

BFS offers something different: provocative yet inclusive, fast yet soul feeding, stimulating yet sensitive and certainly dance urging. Stay alert: anything is possible with these guys.
