A Word from Michael Spiby About the Show

“It’s good to get out and share music with friends while the sun shines!

So, I hatched a plan, something my old Badloves comrade Tony Featherstone had flagged way back in the dark ages (and every year since). .. “How about playing ‘Get On Board’ front to back… what’s wrong with that?” Well for starters that means listening to the album in order to learn stuff. Damn!

Revisiting Get On Board songs has that school reunion feel to it, so familiar, so weird! Some wallflowers grow hot, some ‘hotties’ grow peculiar, others don’t age a bit. All forever bound together despite their differences. So there oughta be some Hammond powered by a licensed operator (yep, I’ve got Tony Featherstone’s number) and there better be some heavy gauge groove laid down to roll the thing out on… and me… sounds like I’m the designated driver.
So a gang of three then.

It’s a bit daunting, firing the engine up on this juggernaut…but it’s sure got wheels, baby…”
