Kim Watkins is currently Co-Host, with David Reyne, on Ten’s new morning program 9.00 AM, broadcast live from Ten’s Melbourne studios each weekday nationally.

Kim is a trusted and respected television personality with a well established career in journalism news and lifestyle programs. She began her TV career when she was only 12, as co-host on the popular Nine Network children’s show You Asked For It, later re-named Boomerang. The program took her around Australia, Papua New Guinea and the West Coast of America, reporting on interesting places and people. She was a natural in front of the camera, loved the adventure and variety and after 4½ years of reporting she decided to pursue a career in journalism.

The Nine Network lured Kim to Sydney to present on the top-rating lifestyle show Money for six years. Kim was then to appear across the network on a range of programs including, reading the Weekend News and appearing on The Footy Show, Sale of the Century, Our House,and Burgo’s Catchphrase.

She was then selected to host Good Medicine, and the real life drama of operating theatres, and Co-Hosting Australia’s Most Wanted. Kim showed her great versatility when she returned to her roots in news, anchoring the 11am news bulletin and regularly filling-in on Nightline, Weekend News, Today Show, and the 4.30 News.

Prior to her most recent role on Ten’s 9.00am, Kim was a reporter travelling the world with Beyond Tomorrow.

Away from work, Kim enthusiastically supports the special care unit at the Royal Women’s hospital at Randwick, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation at Royal North Shore Hospital, and is passionate about fighting childhood obesity. She rollerblades and does Yoga to stay fit. Kim is also adventurous and recently made it to the podium in the 2006 Celebrity Grand Prix race, becoming the first female place getter in the mixed race.
