Biography

TOPICS: MC, MEDIA

After finishing her VCE in Eltham, Melbourne, Jennifer headed for the solace of the waves and sand – ending up in Perth at the beach. She accepted a place at Curtain University in Perth and ended up studying Journalism. In the west, she led an idyllic life combining her love for the beach with that of writing and reporting.

Over the course of her studies, Jennifer did voluntarily work for radio station 6NR, learning a great deal from experienced radio personalities. She graduated and returned to Melbourne, then decided to look for work in regional Victoria.

WIN TV in Ballarat offered her a journalism cadet ship, which she grabbed, and spent the next 18 months learning about TV reporting.

In 1997, Channel Seven Melbourne offered Jennifer a position on the Seven News Team. She is now Seven Melbourne’s weekend presenter and one of the team’s leading reporters.

In July 2000 Jennifer joined Seven’s “Follow the Flame – the Victorian Journey” hosted by Jim Wilson/Peter Mitchell as Channel Seven followed the Olympic torch journey throughout Victoria.

Jennifer, 29, loves the outdoors and keeps fit by running and taking yoga classes. She enjoys cooking but finds it hard to book time in the kitchen these days. Jennifer is also a lover of books – reading whenever she can.
