Dr Deane Hutton is one of Australia’s best-known Science Communicators and Futurists. For more than 25 years, he has been sharing his enthusiasm for science and technology with others through nation-wide television programs. Dr Deane Hutton is a futurist with a difference! As a leading science communicator, he takes his audience on a head-spinning ride into the FUTURE models, graphics, experiments, audience interaction, and entertainment. He shows businesses how to use an understanding of science and technology to create the future they want.

Also, he has used books, radio and the internet in science communication. His work on television has included 18 years as a writer-presenter of the award-winning Curiosity Show, and 7 years as science presenter on Australia’s top variety program Hey Hey It’s Saturday.

In addition to his keynote talks at business conferences and seminars, Deane visits schools in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore to present live science shows for young people. He presents three shows: The Magic of Science; Journey through Space; and The Information Superhighway.

Dr Deane Hutton has degrees in science and education from Adelaide University (Australia), and a Ph.D. in Visual Perception and Message Design from Indiana University (USA). Dr Hutton is a member of the National Speakers Association of Australia, the Australian Science Communicators Association, the International Visual Literacy Association and a Fellow of the Australian College of Education.
