Comedian Arj Barker combines observational comedy with deadpan absurdism to create a brand of comedy that’s somewhere between Jim Gaffigan and Mitch Hedberg.His onstage persona is that of a person with the conviction of his own ignorance – always certain, but rarely right.

Biography
Arj is an American stand-up comedian developing a huge following all over the world.
As a stand-up he won the coveted Perrier Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and has performed regular sell out seasons at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He now tours Australia and New Zealand on a regular basis playing to sold out audiences playing the largest theatres in the country. He has also performed in Holland, Sweden, Norway, USA, U.K and South Africa.
Appearing twice on The Late Show with David Letterman as we as The Tonight Show, Bill Maher’s HBO show, Last Comic Standing and Multiple Just for Laughs Galas.
Arj has done 3 Comedy Central Specials as well as starring as “Dave” in Seasons 1 & 2 of the HBO Smash Hit “Flight of the Concords”
Constantly a favorite on Australian TV having appeared in Thank God You’re Here, Rove, Spicks and Specks, Good News Week, The 7pm Project and Talkin ‘Bout Your Generation.
He has released three DVDs in Australia and New Zealand, all achieving minimum Platinum sales status with his second release ‘Balls’ nominated for an ARIA (Australian Record Industry Award)
Arj is also co-creator of the hit off-broadway show the Marijuana-logues. A parody of the Vagina Monologues.
